On December 6th, 2025, Igloo Insurance proudly introduced its new mascot, Binder the Bear, at the annual Frosty 5K in Middletown! Binder brought smiles, cheers, and plenty of photo opportunities alongside the beloved Frosty the Snowman.
What made this moment even more special? The person behind the costume was a freshman wrestler from Middletown Area High School, who showed incredible community spirit while energizing racers and posing for pictures.
Why “Binder”?
In the insurance world, a binder is a temporary contract that provides proof of coverage until the actual policy is issued. It’s a way to give clients peace of mind knowing they’re protected while the paperwork is finalized. Just like a binder holds things together, Igloo Insurance holds your protection in place from day one!
About the Frosty 5K

- Location: Beautiful Hoffer Park, with a scenic route through the East side of Middletown Borough
- Beneficiary: Proceeds supported the Middletown Area Historical Society and its mission to Collect, Preserve & Teach the rich history of Middletown and Dauphin County.
Participants enjoyed post-race snacks and hot soup served by Alfred’s Victorian Restaurant—a perfect way to warm up after a brisk run!

- Economy Registration: $23 (No goodie bag)
- Regular Registration: $28 (Included a goodie bag with custom knit gloves & ice scraper)
- Timing: Officially timed by Falcon Race Timing
- Prizes:
- Cash prizes for top 3 Male, Female, and Youth (under 15)
- Medals for top finishers in each age group
