Igloo Insurance Giving Statement: “The Igloo Trifecta”
At Igloo Insurance, we believe strong communities are built on three essential pillars: healthy minds, nourished bodies, and informed citizens. That’s why our giving focuses on what we call The Igloo Trifecta:
🧠 Brains – We support mental health initiatives that foster emotional resilience, encourage open dialogue, and promote overall well-being. This includes backing social workers, therapists, and organizations like Mental Health America.
📚 Libraries – We invest in local libraries that spark curiosity, strengthen literacy, and promote lifelong learning — the foundation of critical thinking and an empowered society. Libraries are one of the last remaining “third places” — welcoming spaces outside of home and work where anyone, regardless of race, income, or background, can gather, learn, and connect. In a world that’s increasingly digital and transactional, libraries remain free and accessible to all, with no entry fees or membership barriers. Our founder, Brian Mahon, proudly serves as Treasurer of the Manheim Township Public Library Foundation.
🌾 Food – We partner with local farms and food programs that provide fresh, sustainable nourishment to our neighbors. Inspired by the “1% for the Planet” model, we support Lancaster Farmland Trust’s “1% for our farms” which donates 1% of profits to protect local farmland and promote food sustainability.
Together, these three pillars create a balanced community that can think critically, care deeply, and grow sustainably — values that guide everything we do at Igloo Insurance.
If you’re a local nonprofit working in any of these areas, we’d love to connect. Please reach out to start a conversation about how we might collaborate.
